The Vendor will require a manufacturer letter for verification. The Department reserves sole authorization of whether equivalent brand and models meet specifications. Scanner must meet the following performance specifications: The Department has worn out film which the Microfilm Scanner must possess the following feature to offset the age of the film. One part of the image is clear, however, another part of the same image is not clear. IN order to make a usable copy, the machine must have the ability to only enhance certain parts of the image, while not distorting the rest of the image. The distortion will render the microfilm scanner useless for the Department's purposes. The microfilm scanner must be able to magnify the problem area without changing the remainder of the image which is not in focus. The Microfilm Scanner must have a feature to limit access to certain functions from use by less experience users. The Microfilm Scanner must have easy to use functions for use by all levels of users. The Department may request, at Vendor cost, a demonstration of the equivalent quoted brand and model to determine if the brand and model meet minimum specifications.
