Through it's agreement with Council of Accreditation, each individual DCFS office undergoes on-site per visits with COA and the Department's Central Office divisions go through as well, culminating in the Department being accredited as a State Child Welfare Agency. The flat rate covers all costs and expenses of the Site Visit, including, but not limited to, travel, hotel, meals and incidentals. A minimum of two Peer Reviewers for two days will be assigned to review Central , Cook, Southern and Northern Region. The scheduled accreditation related fees; 7/1/2019-6/30/2020, Re-accreditation Fee and Site visits $267,173.00. Re-accreditation Fee represents 33% and is payment 3 of 3 of the total reaccreditation fee. Re-accreditation last five years.
